The news we have all been waiting for!
Two years and four months after The Old Bakehouse faced closure we simultaneously exchanged and completed the purchase on Tuesday 9thth September.
A huge community effort has saved The Old Bakehouse from closing. Our deepest thanks to everyone who has helped so far.
Celebrations are planned for the future!
Where has the money we have raised gone so far?
£430,000 – purchase of The Old Bakehouse
£58,385 – legal and professional fees, marketing, materials for refurbishments and creation of our website with all the information you need about room vacancies, volunteering, supporting us.
We are thrilled with the progress so far, and enormously grateful for all the support our fabulous extended community has shown.
And while there’s still more fundraising for refurbishment ahead, the future of The Old Bakehouse looks bright! There are many ways you can continue to support us:

What a fantastic event at Chadlington Manor this weekend! Thank you so much to our hosts and to everyone who came along – an incredible £2,300 was raised for The Old Bakehouse – this will make a real difference in the ongoing refurbishment that hugely benefits our residents.
Thank you also to Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream who donated the cream for our delicious scones!
