About Chadlington
Chadlington is a picturesque village located in West Oxfordshire, nestled in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated approximately 3 miles south of Chipping Norton, it is known for its rolling countryside, historic buildings, and traditional English charm. The village has a long history, with evidence of settlement dating back to the Saxon era.

Chadlington features a range of amenities including a village shop, a café, mobile post office services, newspaper deliveries, a primary school, a parish church (St Nicholas), bowls club and a pub – The Tite Inn. It has a strong community spirit, hosting events including the annual Chadlington Beer Festival, and a range of clubs and societies.
Nearby towns, easily reached by public transport, offer a wider range of facilities:
Charlbury has a post office, two small supermarkets and other shops; a primary school, places of worship, library, surgeries for doctors, dentists and vets, garage services (not fuel), hairdressers and barbers; pubs & inns offering a good range of food and real ale; campsites and more…
Chipping Norton is a larger town, with primary and secondary schools, a library, a theatre and cinema a lido (open in the summer only) and leisure centre, a hospital (not A&E), doctors, dentists and vets, places of worship, many shops and supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, pubs and inns, a golf course, garages (with fuel), a garden centre and more.

Our lovely cafe and convenience store in Chadlington, generally viewed as the centre of the village, where local news, gossip and ideas are exchanged daily by regulars and visitors alike.

A delicatessen and general store stocking a range of fresh local produce, quality wines and beers and fresh flowers. Quite apart from the excellent quality of the produce, what really sets the shop apart is the genuine rapport between staff and our customers.

Slatters is a highly respected purveyor of quality local meats with a fantastic reputation. Top quality meats, game in season, cooked meats and pies, everything for the summer BBQ, best turkeys for Christmas.

Situated in Chapel Road, next to the village cricket and football pitches, the Memorial Hall has beautiful views across the Evenlode valley to Wychwood Forest.

On the field stands the Pavilion and close by on the adjoining land of the Village Hall is the Clubhouse. Chadlington has a long history of playing sport – particularly football and cricket – dating back before 1920.

A stunning inn offering classic décor and a welcoming atmosphere. All produce is fresh, local and seasonal and ales are brewed less than a mile away with pure Chadlington spring water, and the used brewing malt provides feed for a local farm.

There has been a church in Chadlington for nearly a thousand years. It has been at the centre of village life: a place of gathering for both worship and meeting. It is open dawn till dusk every day and is open for all to enjoy peace and tranquillity of this ancient house of prayer
